Remedial Massage therapy
Remedial massage is one of the oldest forms of massage; it is purely manipulative and treats soft tissue, muscles, ligaments, and joints using very deep specific pressure, stretching and isometrics. Massage not only relaxes and refreshers you. It can be used in prevention of stress
and injuries.

Corrective exercise
Corrective exercise is designed to bridge the gap between exercise science and rehabilitation. The treatment will be an invaluable asset to people from all walks of life including sports enthusiasts, office and manual workers, active and sedentary people.

This treatment reinforces the use of exercise as a therapeutic modality for the treatment of
muscoloskeletal dysfunction.

Drawing on the disciplines of kinesiology and biomechanics, postural assessment, muscle testing and therapeutic exercise, the therapist will structure and integrate into an effective rehabilitation programme using a multifaceted approach.

Ultrasound
Ultrasound machines are a treatment modality used by physical therapists that utilise high or low frequency sound waves. These sound waves are transmitted to the surrounding tissue and vasculature. They penetrate the muscles to cause deep tissue/muscle warming. This promotes tissue relaxation and therefore is useful in treating muscle tightness and spasms. The warming effect of the sound waves also cause vessel vasodilatation and increase circulation to the area that assists in healing. The physical therapist can also adjust the frequency on the machine to use waves that will decrease inflammation.

TDP Lamp
The special electromagnetic wave treating instrument (TDP for short) was invented in China by a group of scientist and physicians. The TDP is a new type of therapeutic and health device. With the function of promoting metabolism, regulating physiological deficiency, diminishing inflammation and easing pain, the TDP lamp has proven extraordinarily effective in treating numerous ailments such as muscular sore and pain, soft tissue injuries, arthritis and various skin conditions. Since introduced into clinic and family use in early 1980, the TDP has successfully treated up to 60 million patients in China, Hong Kong, South Asia, Japan, Europe, Australia and North America. Due to its prominent therapeutic effects, the TDP lamp is known in China and Japan as the ‘Magical Lamp’.

Positional release techniques
Positional Release techniques (PRT) are soft tissue methods that rely on precise positioning of dysfunctional tissues in ways that allow a spontaneous response that releases or reduces excessive tension and/or spasm. The mechanisms are thought to result from spindle resetting, reduction in nociceptive sensitivity and circulatory enhancement. It is especially useful in acute situations where a muscle has been pulled, or is in spasm, but can also be useful in more long term issues.

Joint Manipulation and mobilisation
The term manipulation is often used to describe a range of manual therapy techniques. Mobilisation and manipulation are used to free vertebras in the lumbar and thoracic spine, relieving stress off the adjacent tissues.
